Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit the Gitterdone website at www.gitterdone.org. Gitterdone is made by Buena. The Gitterdone app at app.gitterdone.org has its own Privacy Policy, which covers your account and the work you add to the app.
1. In short
- The website has no accounts. Its only form asks for your work email, to request access to the private beta (section 2). You use Gitterdone in the app, not here.
- The website does not set cookies or store anything in your browser today.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- We plan to measure how people use the site, such as which pages they visit and which buttons they click. Section 3 explains what that means and how we will tell you before it starts.
2. Information collected when you visit
Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information each time your browser asks for a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the page that linked you here and the time of the request. It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems, and it is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
Some files are loaded from other companies' servers, so your browser sends them the same kind of technical information:
- Fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC) and Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry).
- Links to the app at app.gitterdone.org, which is covered by the app's privacy policy.
Private beta requests. If you request access to the private beta, we collect the work email you enter. Our authentication provider, Supabase, uses Resend (Resend, Inc.) to send a verification link directly to that address. Once you verify your email, access to the free beta is set up automatically. We use your email to provide access and tell you about the beta and the offer for the first 20 agencies. We keep it while the beta runs and delete it within 12 months after the beta ends if you don't become a customer, or sooner if you ask.
3. Measuring how the site is used
To improve the website we plan to measure how it is used: pages viewed, buttons and links clicked, videos played, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. We use this information in aggregate, to understand what works on the site. We do not use it to identify you or to show you ads on other websites.
We have not chosen the analytics provider yet, and no analytics runs on the site today. Before it starts, we will update this section with the provider's name, what it collects, how long it keeps data and whether it uses cookies.
4. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. The Gitterdone website does not set cookies, and it does not use local storage or similar technologies, today.
If the analytics we choose needs cookies, we will list them here before they are used, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first. You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The app at app.gitterdone.org uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in; its privacy policy explains them.
5. How we use and share information
We use the information above to run, secure and improve the website. We share it only with service providers that help us do that, such as our hosting provider, our email provider (Resend) for beta requests and, once chosen, our analytics provider, and when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use the website's visitor information to train AI models.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The website does not track you across other websites, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Oregon and other US states, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Brazil, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email privacy@gitterdone.org. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also use an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
8. Children
Gitterdone is made for work. The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Where information is processed
Buena is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, under their own privacy terms.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the website changes, for example when we start measuring how it is used. The date at the top shows the latest version.
